Role Permissions

What each role (Staff, Manager, Owner) can do in this store. This page is read-only — it's a reference for what each role can do, not where you assign roles.

The three roles

• Staff: front-line daily work (view and add entries, view employees and attendance).
• Manager: everything Staff can do, plus management rights (deletes, platform sync, HR and payroll, store settings).
• Owner: full access — everything Manager can do, plus month close, backup download, and inviting or changing owners.

Permissions are cumulative: Staff < Manager < Owner — each higher role automatically has everything the lower roles have.

Reading the matrix

Features are grouped into cards: Finance, Platform Sync, Catalog Data, HR & Attendance, and Store Management. In each table the left column is Feature, and the three columns on the right are Staff / Manager / Owner: ✓ means Allowed, — means Not allowed. Some rows have a small grey note below (e.g. salary is "Visible to managers, owners, and the employee themselves only").

Escalations worth knowing

• Deletes (delete entries, delete catalog data) always need Manager or above.
• Editing entries on a day-closed date and toggling day close need Manager.
• Closing / reopening a month is Owner only.
• Downloading a full store backup and inviting / changing owners are Owner only.
• Employee salary and login emails are masked for Staff.

Notes

• After a month is closed, all financial data in that month is locked; the owner must reopen the month before any change.
• Employee LINE clock-in uses LINE account binding and does not require a system login account.
• Creating a new store: any signed-in user can create one and automatically becomes its owner.
• The platform admin console is independent of store roles and is available to platform administrators only.
