LINE Clock-in

Staff open the store's clock-in page inside LINE on their phone and punch in or out with one tap. Punches flow straight into Attendance.

Here's what the clock-in page looks like (with an extra map when location is on):

First time: bind your employee record

  1. Open the clock-in link from your manager inside LINE (or scan the clock-in QR code in the store). Opening it in a normal browser shows "Please open the clock-in page in LINE." — just reopen it in LINE.
  2. On first visit you'll see "Not yet bound to an employee; submit a request and a manager will confirm." Tap Request Binding.
  3. The page then shows "Request submitted; awaiting manager confirmation." Wait for your manager to approve it under Employees.
  4. Once approved, reopen the clock-in page and the punch buttons appear.

You only bind once. From then on, that same link is your personal clock-in page. Add the link to LINE favourites or your phone's home screen so it's quicker to open.

Clocking in and out

  1. The page shows the store name at the top, today's date and a live clock in the middle, and your LINE photo and name below.
  2. Two large buttons sit at the bottom: Clock In and Clock Out. Only the one that applies right now is enabled — before you clock in, only Clock In works; after that, only Clock Out.
  3. A green message "[your name] clocked in" or "[your name] clocked out" confirms it worked.
  4. After a successful punch the card shows Today's clock-in time and Worked hours (which keep counting up while you're on shift).
  5. Once both punches are done for the day, the buttons are disabled and the page shows "Clock-in complete for today."

If you don't see the green confirmation, the punch didn't go through — tap again or reload the page to check.

Location (GPS)

Each store decides whether clock-ins record location. When it's off, there's no map, no location permission prompt — just tap the button.

When it's on:

  1. Your phone asks for location permission the first time. Tap Allow, otherwise your position can't be read.
  2. A map appears at the top. The blue dot is you; if the store has set its address, a circle shows the allowed area.
  3. While your position is being read, the status shows "Locating…" and the punch buttons are temporarily disabled. They unlock as soon as a position is found (or it's clear none can be), usually within a few seconds.
  4. Once located, the status shows one of:
    • "✓ Within store area" — you're at the store.
    • "⚠ Outside store area (clock-in still allowed)" — too far away.
    • "✓ Current location acquired" — the store hasn't set its address, so distance isn't checked.
    • "Location unavailable (clock-in still allowed)" — permission denied, phone location off, or no signal.
  5. If the position looks stuck or wrong, tap the round Re-locate button in the top right to try again.

Being out of range, or having no location at all, never blocks a punch. The distance is simply recorded so your manager can review it in Attendance. Indoor signal often makes the position drift. That's normal — punch as usual and explain to your manager if needed.

When something goes wrong

  • "Unable to load clock-in page" — the link is invalid or expired. Ask your manager to generate a new one.
  • "LINE not bound to an employee" — your binding request hasn't been approved yet, or the manager issued a new link. Request binding again.
  • Archived employees can't punch; ask your manager to restore your record.
  • Missed a punch, tapped the wrong button, or the time is off? Don't try to fix it on the clock-in page — ask your manager to correct it in Attendance via a missed-punch request or by editing the attendance entry. The day's hours are recalculated after approval.
